Migrating RNDU4000 to RN31400-100NAS
I'm assisting a family member with a RNDU4000 that has a failed ethernet port. Could we purchase a new unit like a RN31400-100NAS and move the drives over to the new unit. I read the support article at http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29957?cid=wmt_netgear_organic about moving to OS6, but I wasn't sure that applied to the RN31400-100NAS.

Re: Migrating RNDU4000 to RN31400-100NAS
Yes. Any of the OS6 x86 models i.e. in the desktop range:
RN314
RN316
RN516
RN716X
RN526X (just released at the start of this month)
RN626X (just released at the start of this month)
If only two of the drive bays were used then the RN312 would work as well

Re: Migrating RNDU4000 to RN31400-100NAS
Hi jayparedes,
Welcome to the community!
Posted above (by @mdgm-ntgr) are all your options in replacing your old RNDU4000 unit. It just crossed my mind, but I believe the Ultra 4 model has 2x 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports. Have you checked if both ports are busted or broken? Have you considered trying the other to see if it works?
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,
