RN314 front display (LED)

Hi
Got the RN314.
On the front display, the LED, a stikers says "press the power button once to..." and something is supposed to show in the display. Problem is, nothing shows when I press the power button.
The LED does work: at boot and shutdown at least.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
/Martin

Are you pressing it while the NAS is on?

???
Yes, of course. Otherwise it would be a silly question, right?

How long did you press the power button for? If only momentarily try pressing it a little longer.

I can't speak for the 314. But the 516 I have behaves similarly. When I want to invoke a proper shutdown from the power button, I sometimes have to tap it two or three times before the FP shows "tap once more to shut down". Then when I tap again the shutdown begins. Not sure why it behaves this way, but it doesn't otherwise seem to be detrimental to operation.

I've tried what I think is every possible solution:
Momentarily press
Press one second
Press two seconds
Press harder / lighter for the above combinations.

If I press the button more than that, the NAS shuts down (expected behavior)
Maybe the "connection" just doesn't work on my unit? Anyway to tell (other than the obvious at hand and try it out)?

Thanks for the replies

Agreed - sorry for the rough answer.
