Can anyone tell me if the readyNAS NV+ supports SSD's?

No it does not support SSDs.

I notice one can find 1TB SSDs now for a little more than $400 bucks. Still, it's hard to rationalize spending that kind of money on an inherently slow device like the NV+.

Nice fantasy though, I can relate...!
