ReadyNAS RN10400 came with no software. What now??
I am Alex DeJesus. I own a NightHawk X4 Router since earlier this year and I purchased a ReadyNAS RN10400 from a local Fry's. Both are complete headaches for me so far. The router keeps booting me off the internet and I can't understand how to set up this NAS. I am hoping I can find some help here.
I have a home based videography business and I do lots of streaming video and YouTube uploads. I am being raped by my ISP, having top pay for overkill download speeds that I don't need just so I can have a barely fast enough upload speed. Cox Communications ISP has technicians are here at least once a week and can never fix my poor internet speeds. Of course, with my psychotic router makes it impossible to troubleshoot.
My issue with the ReadyNAS is that it comes with no software. So I put drives in it and connected, but now what? I have no idea what I need to run this thing. On the Netear support site, all I find is a list of firmwares, which I already have the latest. I have Netgear Genie app, but I have no idea how or what I need to control my network and NAS

We would recommend using the ReadyCloud website (http://readycloud.netgear.com) to setup your NAS. Did you get the ReadyNAS OS 6 Installation Guide?: http://support.netgear.com/product/RN10400
I would suggest you start by following that guide.
The simplest way to get started would be using ReadyCloud
If you don't want to use ReadyCloud e.g. because your internet connection is unreliable you can use RAIDar (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27391/~/introducing%3A-raidar-6.0) to access the local admin interface
Or if you don't want to use ReadyCloud and don't want to install any software you can briefly press the power button on the 104, look at the display, note the I.P. address (e.g. 192.168.0.147) and go to that in your browser: https://ip.address.of.nas/admin
