Anywhere Access using the nighthawk app does not work for MR60 / CM500
I have the Netgear MR60/MS60 wifi mesh router and CM500 cable modem. I can connect to the router locally using Nighthawk Android app, but when I attempt to enable Anywhere Access in the app, I get an error message: "something went wrong, sorry about this. Please try again." Everything else in the app seems to be functioning properly. I tried rebooting both the router and cable modem, which made no difference. I found a similar case with R7000P and CM600 and confirm both MR60 and CM500 have latest firmware.
What else did I miss then, anyone? Or, among Android App, CM500, MR60, which component(s) have the issue?
Here is the link for R7000P and CM600

You are one of many reports of this issue.
Anywhere Access works fine if it is already enabled. But you cannot control it in the app.

The behaviour or the app seems to change with every update. They fix the Android version, and break something in iOS. Fix iOS and Android falls over.
This has been going on for a few months now. All you can do is complain – some people have used the "shake and bake" feature in androids – and hope that they come out with a fix that works.
