Genie Parental Controls block outgoing email
I have my Parental Controls setup in my Netgear Genie application / OpenDNS. Everything works fine as far as internet browsing and incoming email. When I try to send an email, I have to disable my Parental Controls before Windows Live will send via my POP account. I'm sure this is a simple checkbox somewhere, but I've tried lots of combos of settings and can't seem to find the proper button. Please help...

Do you have the Webmail selected?
Open Genie and select Change Custom Settings.
Once you're logged in, look at the Filtering level and select Customize.

Re: Genie Parental Controls block outgoing email
I'm using the Windows Live Mail application in Windows 7 to access email on a POP3 server. Not sure how that is viewed by the NetGenie app and OpenDNS. I am able to receive email, but I'm not able to send any email using the Windows Live Mail application when the parental blocking is active, regardless of the Webmail setting in OpenDNS.
