R7000 Parent control (turn internet completely off) - how to?
Ho.
Just bought a R7000 Nighthawk router 30 mins ago, expecting it within the next few days.
I have searched "Parential control" but it seems it's only for specific programs or specific sites.
I would like to know if it is possible to completely turn off internet acces eg. between 3 AM to 6 AM every night for a specific PC?
Thank you in advance for answering (and sorry in advance if this has already been answered elsewhere)

Re: R7000 Parent control (turn internet completely off) - how to?
You could do this without parental controls by using 'Block Service' and 'Schedule' under 'Security' in advanced settings. Make sure you assign the PC(s) with an IP address, assigned via their MAC address, and then you can block all access to the internet via your schedule. Note if the PC has a NIC card and wireless you would need to assign and block 2 IP addresses, as the PC will have different MAC addresses for both adapters (wired and wireless)
Hope this helps.
