genie not working now

WIndows 10 desktop, hardwired to router.

I got the router yesterday. I set up 2 wifi networks, I saw the Network map, I set up my parental controls (there was only the option for "Medium" filtering, so I don't thing that was the whole thing), worked on setting up the readyshare, then I saw that the firmware needed to be updated. I updated that, went out came back 2 hours later and the genie is not working completely.

....prior to the firmware update I could see everything in the genie menu....

Now:

When I go into router settings, it says my router is not supported, and will not let me log in.

The parental controls are asking me to check the firmware and will not let me in.

Readyshare will not let me log in.

when I try to go to http://www.routerlogin.net. I get the message that the service DNS could not be found....

Any help here?

    Hi mfedorov,

    1. Please make sure you do a factory reset after updating the router's firmware.

    2. Try uninstalling and re-installing the NETGEAR Genie program/app.

I just installed a new modem and router today, but now the Genie software on my desktop is not working.  When I click on it, I only get the blue spinning circle for a couple of seconds, then it just disappears.  The router and modem seem to be working ok.

        Hi Brinybay,

        1. Please try uninstalling then re-installing the program.

        2. Please try using another device (Android, iOS, another computer).

        Regards,
