Can't get WN3000RPv3 to work!

I've tried to get my WN3000RPv3 Range Extenders to work.  But so far I can't even get the thing to pair with the my WiFi Network.

Connect with WPS

I plug the Extender into 120VAC in the room with the router, turn it on, the Power LED is steady amber for a minute or two, then is steady green.  I presume the device is working.

Then I push the WPS button on the side of the Extender (the WPS LED flashes green) and then immediately push the WPS button on my router (its PAIRED LED flashes amber and LINK LED flashes green).  This goes on a few minutes and then the flashing stops.  No connection.  I've tried this 15 times and no connection.

Then I move to the Connect with NETGEAR genie Smart Setup, which I find very, very confusing even though there is detailed instructions.  Where do I find the "WiFi network manager on a computer"???  No instructions that tell me where to look for that on my computer.  There is a hyper-link to www.mywifiext.net which takes me to a page on the Internet which states"

Note: These instructions apply only to the following extenders:

    • Nighthawk X6S AC3000 Tri-Band WiFi Range Extender Model EX8000
    • Nighthawk X4S AC2200 Tri-Band WiFi Range Extender Model EX7500"

I don't have either of these range extenders.  NO instructions for my WN3000RPv3.

Any answers or suggestions for what I should do?  Does anyone get their WN3000RPv3 to work?

I was able to get my iPhone to "see" the client side of the Extender and light up the green LED.

Should I waste anymore time on this device?  Or should I go to Best Buy and get something else?

try to use the default Ip address in your web browser by going to 192.168.1.250 and see if that pulls up the extenders login page.

you may need to log into your router and look at the attached devices and see what IP address the extender is getting and then use that IP to access the extender.
