Connectivity problem WN2000RPT
Hello, i have just installed the range extender WN2000RPT and I'm facing a connectivity problem. I can have access in range extender only if i connect fisrtly in modem's wifi network.
If i try to connect first in range extender can't have access, so every time have to do the previous action. Is there any way to avoid that? Your prompt reply will be appreciated, thank you very much in advance.
To all people with the same problem!!!
Here is the solution!!!
Enter repeater's adress http://www.mywifiext.net go to settings-wireless-ip adress and change "Get Dynamically IP Address From Router" to "Use static IP adress" click save and you can connect your devices to repeater without connecting firstly with your modem!

Hi Akis_P,
Can you please clarify your issue?
You first connect to the Modem Router's network, then you disconnect from the Modem Router and then are able connect to the WN2000RPT network?
Have you tried connecting to your WN2000RPT with other computers/devices?
Please download the user manual and follow the setup instructions:

I have the same problem, but then on an wn3000rp. There are 2 problems. 1. when you connect you device first to the _ext network you will not get internet. You can solve this to first connect to the main network and then to the _ext.
The second problem that I have with the extender is that every, I don't know, 10 to 12 days I have to reset my extender because it wil not work anymore. I does have connection to my main and you can connect to it, but it will not give you internet ever. Not even with the description above.
I did a factory reset and set it up so that the extender is a extension of my main network. The ip adress is given by my main network.

Hello, i'm facing exactly that problem.
I have tried to connect other devices and every time and with any device have to do the same steps.
1. Connect on modem's network, to get access on wifi.
2. Connect on extender WN2000RPT after joining modem's network.
1st step cannot be skipped.

Hi Akis_P,
Can you please clarify which modem you are using?
Which firmware version is on your WN2000RPT?
Have you tried changing the security modes on your Modem and Extender? (for example: temporarily try No Security (no password))
