Wn2000RPG XBOX ONE STATIC IP
Hey guys, I have connected the wn2000rpt to a cable modem/router SBG6580. I am using the wn2000 with an Xbox. It works with it both wired and wireless. The problem I am having is with the NAT on the XBox One. It keeps switching to open and moderate.
I want to setup static IP address for the Xbox wired and wireless. It doesn't appear That I can do it in the WN2000. I have done it with the SBG6580 but the ip keeps changing when connected to the wn2000 wired.
So I am assuming that the wn2000 give the Xbox its own IP address? I want to do some port forwarding.
Do I have to set the static ips up before installing the wn2000?
Is there a way to turn the wn2000 into a repeater?
I'm also thinking that maybe I will never be able to setup a static ip for the Xbox wired because although it's wired to the wn2000, it's not wired to the SBG6580 router?
I would be happy to just use the Wn2000 wirelessly as long as I via set static ips and port forward.
Or did I just buy the wrong thing and need to get a repeater?
Thank you very much in advance!!!!

- usmcssAspirantOk maybe I had to many questions. Will the WN2000 let me setup port forwarding and static ip's on it or on my router to do it?
Thank you!- netwrksMaster
Set it up as a Access Point - http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN2000RPTV3/WN2000RPTv3_UM_19Oct2015.pdf - Page 14.
Your xbox has two MAC address, one for wired, one for wireless. you can reserve an ip addresses, per MAC address. All port forwarding shoud be done on your Router (if it supports it).
