Re: Verizon Fios gigabit slow speeds
I have Fios gigabit service and use the XR500 as my main router and get about 900 mbs down and 880 up wired via ethernet to a home PC; s the ame speeds as I had with the Fios router. I am connected via ethernet directly to the ONT. For certain features of the Verizon TV service, I connect the coax from the ONT directly to an Actiontec MOCA 2.0 bonded adapter and then connect via ethernet the adapter to the router. All verizon featues work fine and with the COAX adapter you can use coax lines in the house to convert to ethernet where needed. MOCA 2.0 bonded adapters can only give about 700 mbs down and up but the flexibility to use existing wiring is betetr than WIFI.
I use the main features of the XR500: QoS, Geofilter, etc. I did not have to turn anything off to get the Fios gigabit speeds.

Re: Verizon Fios gigabit slow speeds
My issue was with the sites I used to run the speed tests and incosistency of the XR500 speed results during the setup.
I was using dlsreport and I found a fix, change from https to http. Then my speeds from dslreport where closer to my gigabit speeds.
To answer your question is that issue resolved. The answer is yes.
I have an additional question that I will create a new post.
Thanks
