Xr500 losing LAN connection for a few seconds
So since the .56 FW update, and yes even after a reset clicking the tiny button in the back, my LAN connections just drop on me. It’s been happening to my Xbox, at first the X1X and now it’s happened to my XSX. It’s of course always while I’m mid match.. will run strong for a while then just acts like there isn’t a wire in there and then comes right back on. I have spectrum with the gig connection. My console is hardwired and I’ve port forwarded the stuff I need to for Xbox and the games I play. But this wasn’t happening until I upgraded the FW to the .56.. should I try and switch it back to the last FW? And what was that and where do I find the file for uploading it?

- How often is it happening exactly? Is the XR connected to a pure modem (no WiFi) or a modem/router? You can try that yes just to check, you can find all the firmware versions here: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/XR500.aspx#download
- Well while playing Xbox I’d say once every few hours.. but I’ve been connected to my laptop now for the since I posted this and it’s dropped 3-4 times. Even did it while I was trying to upload the .40 FW.. As for the modem from spectrum is a non-wifi version I believe as it’s never provided wifi, but it does have the phone line jacks as it’s the only unit they carry in my area that can do the gig speeds. I’ve just reverted my FW to the .40 and hope that fixes the issue as I swear it never did this before the last update..
Edit: the exact modem is E31U2V1. Also wifi works great never see a hiccup like I am with the LAN connections.- Thank you for the information, since reverting the firmware have you seen the issue again?
