Disabling Airtime Fairness (SONOS Support Recommendation) RAX75
Hello,
Sonos was jumping between my wifi networks and now it won't connect at all to the Nighthawk router (hard wired through ethernet or otherwise). Sonos said that disabling airtim fairness is necessary, but even following the instructions in the manual :
4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless Settings. The Wireless Settings page displays. Manage Network Settings 83 User Manual Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream AX5700 WiFi Router 5. Scroll down below the WPS Settings section and select or clear the Enable AIRTIME FAIRNESS check box.
This option is NOT available. Sonos says they're compatible with this router (contrary to some comments on here). NOTE THAT I HAVE AN RAX75 (selected RAX80 because it wasn't an option above)
Any help is appreciated on the airtime disabling issue as well as Sonos.
Thanks!

Hi dmontgo,
Welcome to the community! May you let me know what firmware version your router is currently on. Also, would you mind providing a screenshot when viewing the WPS Settings section.
Thanks,
Christian

Re: Disabling Airtime Fairness (SONOS Support Recommendation) RAX75
HI dmontgo,
Thanks for getting back. There is currently a newer firmware version available for the RAX75. May you update to the latest firmware version and we recommend performing a factory reset after updating your firmware.

Interesting- checking for firmware through the router said it was current. Done, updated... Still no Airtime fairness option

Hi dmontgo,
Thanks for getting back. I was able to confirm with our product teams that the RAX75 currently does not support Airtime Fairness. I have requested for the user manual to be updated immediately.
Thank you for understanding,
Christian

Thanks. Can you confirm or deny that SONOS will work with this router? Thanks again

We have not received any reports of SONOS not being compatible with the RAX75. I would recommend contacting our support team for further investigation if your issues persists.
