Im usually asleep by midnight but sometimes stay up working on the computer or watching appletv. At exactly midnight, the wifi router stops working. Its not the cable modem, I can still watch regular cable TV. I reboot the RAX120 router by unplugging it for a few seconds, then I get my internet connection again. It must be some settings because it happens exactly at midnight but i dont see any timed settings anywhere. I have the latest firmware. Hoping I don't have to reset to factory settings because it may be a simple fix that I have overlooked.

It is not in the Nighthawk mobile app, you must use http://routerlogin.net which is the
router login admin page. After you login go to BASIC->Internet. Then you must
select Yes to the question, "Does your Internet connection require a login?". If you are
required to use a login, click Yes. Then scroll down to Connection Mode.

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
Check the Internet Port status - something similar happened to me earlier this week. After I lost connection to RAX120 I checked the status and all configuration values were 0'ed (zeroed out). After I hit RENEW they were repopulated and I gained my connectivity back.
See screenshot to find where to check CONNECTION STATUS.

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
Internet port reboot did not solve the problem. Anyone know if the device does some sort of update at midnight? It is highly suspicious that there is sort of timed settting since the internet connection is lost exactly at midnight. The connection comes back automatically after about 1 hour if left alone but I can get the internet connection back right away by reseting the router.

I don't found that setting in my RAX120. Can you provide a screenshot of its location?
Thanks!

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
That settting \ option only appears if you select yes to, "Does your internet connectioin require a login?". For me that doesn't not apply.
Thanks!

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
Thanks, found it. I have to see what happens tonight at midnight. I hope this works. Do you also recommend that I click on
"I disagree" radio button on "Router Auto Firmware Update" or is there another auto update setting?

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
Internet
Does your internet require login clicked
"yes"
And then
"Always on" for connection mode
But it then says "User name cannot be left blank" when I hit apply .
Any idea what to do next ?
Thanks

Oh I see, gotcha.
Yeah I've never done any configurations really with my routers before
it's just frustration that this router I have disconnects so frequent on every device. I hope that someone has an answer or I may end up changing routers/brand
Thank you for your help

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
I would agree that you try your ISP's username \ password, however I suggest you contact them and ask if they require credentials to connect. I wouldn't think ISP's would have such a requirement. I have Cox and it is not required, however I did have to activate my mode with them.

Re: RAX120 loses both wired and wireless connection at midnight
Edit: I did have to activate my **cable modem** with them (my ISP, Cox).
