Using WPA3 on Nighthawk R7000 Router

I am using a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 Router for several years now. Does this router support the WPA3 security option for WiFi connection?
I am using the latest firmware available on the router. Just downloaded and upgraded the firmware version to V1.0.11.130_10.2.118 but it didn't help much. The WPA3 option is not even appearing under the security options of wireless set up screen.
Any pointer will be very helpful.
Thanks.

No it doesn't.
You'd have to upgrade to a newer hardware that supports wpa3 if that's what you're wanting.
Keep in mind, some older devices struggle with wpa3.

Re: Using WPA3 on Nighthawk R7000 Router
@anirguha So you have the answer you sought, but here's a thread from a couple of years back:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/R7000-AC1900-has-MFP/td-p/1773101
Always worth using the search function, especially when asking about the R7000 AC1900, which contains enough threads and repeated questions about the same things. That's not me being in anyway sarcastic, it's just being helpful, that's what the search function is for.
I've just consigned my R7000 AC1900 to the darkest recess of my attic where it belongs. Replaced it with a TP-Link AX6600 GX90 which does have WPA3.

Re: Using WPA3 on Nighthawk R7000 Router
But I was almost convinced of the answer myself before even I posted my thread. The response only confirmed it.
BTW, now I am curious to know if there is any Netgear router at all that supports WPA3.

Re: Using WPA3 on Nighthawk R7000 Router
For that link, please review the following on that page:
This article applies to:
- Wireless AX Router Nighthawk (WiFi 6) (32)
- Nighthawk Pro Gaming (5)
- Wireless AX Router Nighthawk (WiFi 6E) (3)
This shows which NG routers support WPA3. The R7000 is not included as it was made years before WPA3 was developed thus the R7000 does not have or will not have HW that is required to support WPA3.
IF you want WPA3, you'll need a new router that supports WPA3.
