Cannot connect to WiFi with any device

My old router failed last week, so I replaced it with a r7000. The new router would not connect to any device via WiFi (iPhones, iPad, android phones, wireless laptop, smart tv). Laptop and tv work fine as a wired connection.

Tried factory login password, custom password, and no security at all, everything fails to connect. I can see the ssid, just can’t connect.

I thought maybe the new router was faulty too, so I exchanged it, but the replacement is having the same issue.

I believe I have the newest firmware (router setup says no updates)

Never had any issues with netgear equipment before, but if I can’t figure it out soon I’m going to have to exchange it for a different brand.

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi with any device

Could be the devices, especially if you created the SAME SSID's with the same P/W. FORGET the NETWORK on the devices and then connect again, should solve the problem. Same also if you change the SSID's to different ones forcing a new network connection. Devices are probably remembering old router information.

Already reset network settings on devices, and had people who’ve never been on my network try, no dice

Which password(s)?  Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
model number, and look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Look
for "Types of Logins", "Specify Basic WiFi Settings" and "Change the
WiFi Password or Security Level".  Further reading might also be
helpful.

As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
(or the router's) opinion of what's "the newest" today.

Re: Cannot connect to WiFi with any device

A simple question, CAN any device SEE the SSID?

Do the LED's on the Router show the WIRELESS is on?

There is also a LED/button to press for Wireless on/off.

See page 11 and 12 of the manual for details on these LED's (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R7000/R7000_UM.pdf).
