NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000 No wireless Connection

For the second time, my NETGEAR Nighthawk router has abruptly stopped having a wireless connection only a year after I bought it. The last time, I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I just bought a new one. I have done all the troubleshooting, I've checked my internet connection with an ethernet cord, and I've checked to make sure the firmware is up to date. I cannot login into the router. It says my username and/or password are incorrect. So, I can't make use of the support on the website. I cannot use the app because my phone has to be connected to the router's wifi. I want to see if anyone has any suggestions before I reset the factory settings. Also, of you have ideas as to why my routers do this after a year of use. One day it works fine, and the next there's no wifi.

> [...] router has abruptly stopped having a wireless connection [...]

What, exactly, does that mean to you?  Wireless device can't connect
to the router?  Wireless device can connect to the router, but can't
connect to the Internet?  Other?  As usual, showing actual actions with
their actual results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more
helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.  (Or none at all.)

> [...] I have done all the troubleshooting, [...]

All _which_ "the troubleshooting"?  That non-description conveys no
useful information.  See "As usual, [...]", above.

> [...] I've checked to make sure the firmware is up to date. [...]

As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
opinion of what's "up to date" today.

> [...] I cannot login into the router. It says my username and/or
> password are incorrect. [...]

"cannot" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  See "As usual,
[...]", above.

Are you using some web browser or other, on some type of
computer/device or other, running some OS or other, specifying some
actual user name and password or other?

> [...] So, I can't make use of the support on the website. [...]

Eh?  Why not?  Regarding "can't", see "cannot", above.

> [...] I want to see if anyone has any suggestions before I reset the

If your expected user name ("admin"?) and password don't work, then
that would be the usual way to begin.

> [...] One day it works fine, and the next there's no wifi.

I could achieve that result by pressing the "WiFi On/Off button with
LED".  Knowing nothing about what "all the troubleshooting" means to you
makes it tough to guess what your actual symptoms/indications might be.

If you don't already have the User Manual, then visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for
Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Look for the LED
descriptions and "Troubleshooting".

Re: NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000 No wireless Connection

I think a factory reset is needed in this case. If it appears the same, a downgrade of the firmware version that used to work is needed. The latest few releases are problematic for some

Routing: NETGEAR RAX43 - Firmware: v1.0.11.112 (1 Gbps down, 50 Mbps up)
Switching: 2x NETGEAR 8-ports (GS108v4) / 1x NETGEAR 16-ports (JGS516v2)
Desktop: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Server: Intel Core i7-7700K - NAS: Intel Pentium G4400, 20 TB
