R7000 does not detect WD My Book Duo 16GB on either USB ports
I've already read the open discussions regarding the R7000 and WD My Book devices not working. I just bought a WD My Book DUO 16GB (WDBFBE0160JBK) and connect get it to be recognized by my R7000 router.
I've already tried power cycling the router several times with and without the device plugged in, neither the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports recognize the device. When I go into USB settings, there are no available devices.
I've tried formatting the drive as both RAID0 and RAID1 (both NTFS) with no success. I can use the drive perfectly fine on my PC. Other USB 2/3 devices work on the router, so I know it's not the ports.
I'm on the latest firmware (V1.0.9.6_1.2.19).
Any ideas?

Re: R7000 does not detect WD My Book Duo 16GB on either USB ports
I assume that you meant 16TB rather than 16GB. I doubt if you will get a Netgear box to recognise that. Did you check this list?
ReadySHARE USB Drives Compatibility List | Answer | NETGEAR Support
Most people would use an NAS to add that much storage to a network. Then just plug it into an ethernet port.
Just another user.
