R7000 extremely slow with every firmware after V1.0.9.42_10.2.44
Hi!
This is starting to become absurd.
I have the R7000 router and i have extremely low speed (as in throughput) on every firmware after V1.0.9.42_10.2.44.
I have 1000Mbps up and 1000Mbps down from my isp, which is verifyed with speedtest when connecting a computer straight to the socket with a cable.
When i connect the computers to the R7000 (cable) and with a firmware of V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 (or lower) i get just above 950/950, even with mac filtering on.
Here comes the problem. As soon as i update to a newer firmwate my speed goes down to around 200/200.
What i have tested (many multiple times):
Disable/enable/disable qos.
Reset to factory settings.
Changed cables.
Turn off mac filtering.
Disable any feature that has anything to do with traffic shapening.
Enabled/disabled wifi (even though the issue is present when connecting through cable)
Still the same. V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 Works fine but nothing after that.
Why just dont stay at V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 and be happy you might ask?
Because i would like the new security updates and i feel like a company has to be able to handle these situations!
There seems to be no way of contacting the devs to get this sorted either. This is appaling! I mean we have the proof that it can hadle at least 950 with V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 but not with newer so there doesnt seem to be a hardware fault.
Does anyone know how to get in contact with netgear about this?
Even better if you have a magical fix for this issue. Unfortunately i dont seem to be alone on net net regarding slow speeds on the R7000.

I'm curious what the responses are going to be also.

Re: R7000 extremely slow with every firmware after V1.0.9.42_10.2.44
I was having issues connecting and disconnecting until I came across a forum where they were having the same issue and the fix was to downgrade to version 1.0.9.42_10.2.44. Ever since I downgraded the firmware the connection has been rock solid. Is a shame because i tried the latest firmware and was still having issues. It is a concern that we have to downgrade and be exposed to security vulnerabilities but what gives, I need a router that works.
