ReadyCloud: Device is offline

ReadyCloud: Device is offline
I have a USB drive plugged into the router.
When I log onto ReadyCloud it says my device is offline and to check internet connectivity and that it is on.

Not much to go on there.
How are you trying to connect to ReadyCloud? App? PC? Local? Remote?
Can you access it locally through ReadyShare?
Just another user.

If you plug the USB drive into a computer USB port can you see it?
When you plug it into the router, do you see any lights on the drive or feel/hear it spin up/turn on?
Does it have an external power cord, is it plugged in?

just a finger size USB size, no need external power cord

How old is the drive?
Have you ever had it successfully working in this router?
Has it worked in another router?
What is the firmware of the router? Is it the latest version? Did it work before you updated your firmware?
When was the last time you rebooted your router?
Can you plug another drive in and it will work?

i plug another drive and it shows no devices discovered

publication. V1.0.9.88_10.2.88 has been inciting complaints since its
publication.
A quick Web or forum search for either might find any number of
complaints. The current consensus seems to be that V1.0.9.42_10.2.44 is
a better bet.
