Security Log: Sending Email Does Not Work
I'm having no luck setting up my email SMTP so that the router will send me the security log.
I'm using a Microsoft email address which has the @outlook.com domain.
The SMTP server I'm using is smtp-mail.outlook.com
The port is 587
and I'm enabling the "My mail server requires authentication" and putting in my sending account email address and password.
I've triple checked spelling of all.
When I try to send email the log window displays various messages without any pattern, such as:
- [email failed] Send hello first
- and then on subsequent attempts: [email failed] internet connection is dropped
- or no message at all
It seems like a scripting issue.
Does anyone know what's wrong?

oh yeah, firmware is current V1.0.4.52_10.1.67
