AX1800 with AX5400 Router
IS THE AX1800 COMPATIBLE AS A SATELLITE UNIT WITH A AX5400 ROUTER? In other words, if I purchase an AX5400 router, can I use an AX1800 or a pair of AX1800 extenders with it?

Re: AX1800 with AX5400 Router
Fyi, the AX1800 and AX5400 are speeds, not models.
So its tough to give you specific answers because there's nighthawk devices, orbi devices, etc.
Some do/don't mesh.
What actual router are you looking at and what are you looking at for extenders/satellites?

Re: AX1800 with AX5400 Router
Sorry about that. I'm looking at the Nighthawk 6-Stream WiFi 6 (XR1000) and the Nighthawk Dual-Band WiFi 6 (MS60).
Will the MS60 function as a mesh extender with the XR1000?

Re: AX1800 with AX5400 Router
No. the MR60 series is a mesh series while the XR1000 is not.
You can add the MR60 to the XR1000 as an access point but it won't function as a mesh.
or you could go with a mesh extender like the EAX80/20 if you wanted to keep in AX compatible.
I've used an EX8000 with my RAX200/CAX80 and it worked fine as well.
