RS700 ethernet port issues
I bought this router back in May and it has worked great until recently. Every morning when I turn on my work computer, connected to ethernet, it will not connect to internet regardless of which port I use. The port illuminates and is white, showing a strong internet signal, but my computet shows network connected, no internet.
The wi-fi network has always workes well and never shows issue. Even when the ethernet is causing problems I still get a strong connection across the wi-fi network.
This is not an issue with my work computer, it happens on my personal computer which is also connected to ethernet as well.
If I reboot my router it will allow my ethernet connected devices to connect to the internet, and they will stay connected throughout the day, but I have to do this every single time I power on one of those devices.
I have checked and am using the latest firmware as of 8/8/2024
v1.0.7.86
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: RS700 ethernet port issues
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
What brand and model# are these ethernet connected PCs and devices?
What brand and model# are the ethernet adapters in the PCs?
Ensure any ethernet adapter driver in PCs is updated from it's Mfr.
What CAT# LAN cable are you using between the router and ethernet connected devices? CAT6 is recommended. If your using a high speed ethernet adapter at the PC, 2.5Gb or beyond, then CAT6A STP is recommended.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Re: RS700 ethernet port issues
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers
https://kb.netgear.com/24086/How-do-I-set-up-a-default-DMZ-server-on-my-Nighthawk-router
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...
Please change out the flat CAT8 cable for a thicker CAT6A STP cable between the ISP modem and the RS WAN port.
Ensure the ethernet adapter drivers are using most current driver from Intel.
Might factory reset the RS and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

Re: RS700 ethernet port issues
My ethernet drivers are up to date.
Is a factory reset your only suggestion?

Re: RS700 ethernet port issues
Yes. If after that the problem still happens, you'll need to contact NG support and open up a support ticket.
