no WWW access after 24 hours and only on one client in the NETWORK - NETGEAR RS200
Hi all
Here my Router data first
Hardware Version | RS200 |
Firmware Version | V1.0.1.60 |
GUI Language Version | V1.0.0.449 |
Protection Engine Version | 2.2.214.4/1.0.0.2061 |
Operation Mode | Router |
CPU Load | CPU1: 17.20% CPU2: 17.85% CPU3: 17.17% CPU4: 16.87% |
Memory Usage (Used/Total) | 607MB/2018MB |
Flash Usage (Used/Total) | 429MB/512MB |
I've in my home Network about 30 connected devices.
DHCP is from 192.168.1.100-255 in the range below some fix ip's are assigned.
PROTECTION ENGINE IS TURNED OFF
it's only on one client where after 24 hours - or even sometimes after a reboot i get only access to the intranet but no WWW anymore
When the protection engine is on - i encounter this after 2 hours.
the client - my desktop PC - gets either auth. problems or cannot connect to the WWW anymore. Respectively it can only reach the IP's in the Home Network.
What i have to do then is to assign another IP in the IPV4 normally the internet connection runs then normal again. Also a fushdns or an ipconfig /renew doesn't help
Windows 11 told me that there is a problem with the DNS cache.....
After a manual change of the IP i can use the PC for the next day till i've to change again.
Also the activation of DHCP delivered very similar problems. (i've to deactivate the connection, then reactivate, ipconfig /renew) etc.....
Is there a firmware update?

If it's only the one PC, and nothing else sees this issue, you'll need to take a closer look at the PC.
Check wired vs wireless connections.
Be sure all ethernet and wireless adapter drivers are updated from there Mfr.
Contact the PCs mfr for help and support information regarding there product.
