J'ai acquis un Orbi Pro SXR80 pour remplacer un RBR850 car je cherchais à pouvoir avoir un SSID Wifi dédié aux IOT mais permettant aux différents "clients" de se voir entre eux. En toute transparence j'ai plusieurs enceinte Amazon Echo (dot) que je ne veux pas connecter à mon réseau principal, mais qui ont besoin de pouvoir communiquer entre elle pour le "multi-room". Donc un "Wifi Guest" classique ne convient pas car il isole chaque "client".
J'ai réussi à mettre ça en place mais le seul moyen est de mettre le SXR80 en mode router, avec
- 1 Wifi principal pour mes appareils "de confiance" (Laptop, iPad, smartphone) avec le profil VLAN "default" qui devrait permettre de voir tout mon réseau local en plus d'accéder à Internet
- 1 Wifi IOT pour mes enceintes Amazon Echo avec le profil VLAN réglé pour permettre aux client de SSID de se voir entre eux.
Le SXR80 est connecté en Ethernet sur son Port WAN à ma box.
Mon imprimante, mon NAS, et d'autres appareils sont connecté en Ethernet à ma Box (via un Switch).
Mon soucis est que dans ce mode mon Wifi principal ne permets pas aux iPhone/iPad/Smartphone Android de "voir" mon imprimante réseau qui elle est connecté en Ethernet. Par contre pas de soucis avec les Laptop Windows...
Aussi VLC sur iPad ne trouve plus mon NAS je suis obligé de faire une connexion manuelle avec l'adresse IP.
Vu qu'en mode Router le SXR80 se met dans son propre VLAN différent de celui de ma Box, je pense que ça n'ouvre pas correctement les Flux ou que ça ne fait pas correctement le NAT ?
Si je mets le SXR80 en Mode AP là plus de soucis pour utiliser l'imprimante depuis un smartphone ou un iPad il n'y a plus la possibilité d'avoir le SSID "iot" avec les clients qui se "voient entre eux".
Donc je me demande si je cherche à faire quelque chose d'impossible auquel cas je n'ai pas acheté le bon matériel, ou si c'est moi qui ne comprends pas quel ajout faire dans la configuration.
J'ai tenté de forcer le SXR80 sur le même Vlan /24 que ma Box mais il refuse car il détecte le router de la box. Je pensais cela possible en faisant attention à mettre une IP fixe différente à chaque router en en forçant une plage IP de DHCP distincte à chacun, mais ce n'est pas possible. Est-ce qu'il y a un moyen de rendre mon imprimante pour les clients du Wifi Principal avec iOS/Android visible en mode router?
Continue using your SXR80 with the default VLAN configure mDNS as well, and put your NAS Printer (switch) on the IoT network. Check this thread and follow the instructions on how to configure mDNS in the user manual on page 137. With this setup you will be able to access your media devices from your main network.

I acquired an Orbi Pro SXR80 to replace an RBR850 because I wanted to be able to have a Wifi SSID dedicated to IOTs but allowing different “clients” to see each other.
To be transparent, I have several Amazon Echo (dot) speakers that I don't want to connect to my main network, but which need to be able to communicate with each other for multi-room. So a classic “Wifi Guest” isn't suitable because it isolates each “client” from the others.
I've managed to set this up, but the only way is to put the SXR80 in router mode, with
- 1 main Wifi for my “trusted” devices (Laptop, iPad, smartphone) with the “default” VLAN profile, which should enable me to see my entire local network in addition to accessing the Internet - 1 Wifi IOT for my Amazon Echo speakers, with the VLAN profile set to allow SSID clients to see each other.
The SXR80 is connected via Ethernet on its WAN port to my box. My printer, my NAS, and other devices are connected in Ethernet to my Box (via a Switch).
My concern is that in this mode, my main Wifi doesn't allow iPhone/iPad/Android smartphones to “see” my network printer, which is connected via Ethernet. On the other hand, no problem with Windows Laptops...
Also, VLC on iPad can't find my NAS, so I'm forced to make a manual connection with the IP address.
Since in Router mode the SXR80 puts itself in its own VLAN different from that of my Box, I think that it doesn't open the Streams correctly or that it doesn't do NAT correctly?
If I put the SXR80 in AP mode, I won't have any issue using the printer from a smartphone or iPad, because all are in the same VLAN, but there's no longer the possibility of having the “iot” SSID with clients that “see each other”.
So I'm wondering if I'm trying to do something impossible, in which case I haven't bought the right equipment (SRX80) , or if I'm the one who doesn't understand what addition to make to the configuration.
I've tried to force the SXR80 onto the same Vlan /24 as my box, but it refuses because it detects the box's router. I thought I could do this by being careful to set a different fixed IP for each router and forcing a separate DHCP IP range for each, but it's not possible. Is there any way to make my printer visible in router mode for Wifi Principal clients with iOS/Android?
