Connecting Orbi direct to Sky/Openreach ONT
I'm sure this has been covered before, but I was unable to find anything.
I've recently purchased an Orbi RBS353 mesh system and I want it to replace the Sky supplied router. I have FTTP and an Openrech modem. I have connected the Orbi direct to the ONT but the configuration wizard failed to find any internet.
I've seen talk of DCHP Option 61, but don't unsterstand what this means or where I can enable it. Does RBS353 support Option 61?
Any help greatfully received, thanks

Re: Connecting Orbi direct to Sky/Openreach ONT
That KB article appears to be incomplete. My Orbi RBR50 definitely supports DHCP options 60 and 61.
Look on the Basic Tab, Internet menu:
Scroll down to the very bottom of the page.
Whether DHCP options are required or not is a question for the Internet Service Provides (ISP).

Do you see that option on your RBR750?
Yes. Both options 60 and 61 appear on the RBR750 Internet menu (after scrolling to the bottom). I have a vague memory of one of the SX models leaving off the DHCP options. i.e. SX30 and SX80 have the options, but SX50 did not. And me being surprised, "it's has been on every Netgear router since the beginning of time. Why THIS ONE MODEL doesn't have it???"
I know zero about Sky and whether they specify DHCP options (or not). For that matter, whether they require user login (or not).
There is a long post about Sky fttp and user routers here:
