Magenta light once per day
But this drops at least once per day.
This is the trouble shooting steps I have tried with support:
1. Changed mtu number
2. Flashed my firmware from my PC
3. Factory reset with paper clip
4. Changed DNS
5. Troubleshooting with my isp to ensure nothing on their end, they claim it’s not.
I’m not the best versed in networking and I was hoping there were a few more things I could try but support just told me to send it back. But I want it to work and am willing ti exhaust my options. Any thoughts or suggestions help?

Re: Magenta light once per day
Front PINK LED means that the RBR has lost the connection from the ISP modem/ONT or the modem/ONT has lost it's connection to the ISP service this not giving services to the RBR which it's detecting and giving that indication. I would contact the ISP to review there logs when you see this on the RBR and see if they notice anything in this time frame.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch.
I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Re: Magenta light once per day
I contacted my isp and they said that the ‘modem’ has not lost signal from them, but they wouldn’t comment on the orbi since they don’t support it.
The firmware version is v4.6.14.3
Manufacture of modem is Adtran 411 p/n 128778F1 rev:j
I have done the factory reset after updating the firmware.
I have done a power cycle of the network but I am not certain if the order I did it in. I will try that again to be sure.
I will check those DHCP settings
One satellite is AROUND 30ft away but the 2nd is about 15 ft father away from the first. Too close?
My house is about 4500 sq feet but that is split between 2 stories and also a basement.
I will check the channels I am using but I know for sure that I haven’t changed those from factory settings but I will adjust to your recommendations.
The houses in my neighborhood are pretty spread out and I do not see any WiFi networks in range of my phone or tablets other than my own.

Re: Magenta light once per day
The Orbi should be able to the same job as your old router, and do a better job at it. The Orbi should not be at fault for losing connectivity with your Orbi.
That said, if you only need Orbi for better wireless coverage then you could try putting your old router back in and setting your Orbi to Access Point (AP) mode. That test would add further confidence that the issue is not with your ISP but something between the Orbi->ISP connection.

For this size of home you could get away with just the RBR and one RBS. I have a 5000sq ft home and can get away with just one RBS. If I run two RBS, I turn down the power to 25-50%.
