RBR750: After firmware upgrade V3.2.16.22_1.4.9: IP Configuration Failure
Yesterday night I updated my router to the latest firware version "V3.2.16.22_1.4.9". After the update, most of my devices are failing to connect to the network with a message: "IP Configuration Failure". This includes a host of devices (smartphone, Macbook, smart switches). Even the sattelites wouldn't connect and the display color on the satellites have changed from white to pink.
In order to fix it, I did the following:
- Powered off everything (including the modem)
- Keeping the satellites disconnected, powered on the router
At this stage, some of the devices would connect, however many wouldn't, including my Android cellphone, which had previously connected successfully.
I finally went with a factory reset & reconfigured everything, following the steps in the SmartPhone application. However, even after the reset, I still am facing the same issue.
In one of my Macbook, when I encountered the IP issue, I configured it to use DHCP with manual address & added a 192.168.X.X address. This trick seemed to temporarily resolve the problem on this mac
I would appreciate any help to resolve this. Thanks!
