Using Orbilogin on Safari
I'm unable to use the orgilogin site on Safari. If I try to access the site it says I need to be connected to my orbi network, which I am. The only thing I could access (by using the specifi IP for the site) was an admin password reset page.
Gave up and tried using Chrome instead and had no issues accessing the router admin on that browser. Does anyone have any idea why this is? It's not the end of the world but it would be easier just using my usual browser.

Re: Using Orbilogin on Safari
I can access http://orbilogin.net/ using Safari (Version 14.1.2) without issue. I am just logged in now and doing a firmware update to my RBR40.

I'm using that version of Safari but the Orbi site is convinced I'm not connected to my Orbi network. I definitely am as it's the only network in my home. Guess I'll just have to stick to using Chrome for this specific site. Odd.

Are you using the same device to run Safari and Chrome?

Yes
Then that is really odd, it shouldn't happen.
Unfortunately I don't have Safari on a computer to check, only a phone, sorry.

No apology necessary 🙂 I'll just have to use Chrome. Not the end of the world for one website.

Re: Using Orbilogin on Safari
It sounds like for some reason your Safari browser is caching an old DNS entry for oriblogin.com. When you are not on your Orbi network or if you are not using the Orbi in Router mode, then it cannot resolve orbiogin.com to your router's IP address, instead you get the public IP address for it which points to Netgear's web page that says you need to be on the Orbi network.
Try flushing Safari's cache and see if that fixes it: https://www.idownloadblog.com/2019/01/07/clear-dns-cache-mac-iphone-ipad-safari-chrome-firefox-opera...

Thanks but that link doesn't list method for Big Sur. I've emptied caches from the safari developer preferences but still the same issue. I'll just use Chrome for access as it has no issues.

You have a workaround, but still curious if this Big Sur clear DNS cache fixes your Safari issue:
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

Re: Using Orbilogin on Safari
Well Safari 15.0 on Monterey is working to connect to the RBR. Seems to have an extra step in intputting the local user account PW first then you'll get the log in screen for the RBR850. Seems like Safari maybe adding security steps. I never saw this on Mojavie.
