instable network satellites ORBI RBR 353

Have an ORBI network (difficult to instal at the best distance or position..) but in the app, on the network map image, the network is VERY instable, with some moments all satellites green, and often some are orange (same which were green before)

Idem, sometimes te network is in star position, and sometimes it is chain position.

So how is it possible to fix the network in a durable  and stable position?

Thanks ! 🙂

Arnaud

PS Netgear support is impossible to touch ++ everything is done to turn, and turn, to get at the same pont.

Have registered product + 3 months but - 2 years's life, and they don't answer..

How big is your home?

What is it made of?  (interior walls material)

How far are the satellites from the router?

Those are kind of key details for router/satellite connection

Re: instable network satellites ORBI RBR 353

Thanks for answer,
My house is as big as 200m2, with normal interior walls and stones for outside walls.
I can have a mesh network with all 4 satellites « green «  on the app so the distance is good. But the satellites are probably searching each other and disconnect my wifi cameras. So the wifi network through my orbi system,
is instable. My cameras should be permanently connected to the wifi to have a rapid picture. Sometimes it takes a long time to connect again. I don’t understand why if all satellites are green one moment showing a perfect distance and connection between them, it can change while nothing change on my configuration, walls or internet network (stable one)

What modem/gateway are you using?

And when people say "normal" interior walls, it means different things. Here in the USA, its sheetrock/wood but not always. Plaster lathe can also be a "normal". From you using the 200m2 option, I'm betting UK/EU region. Your "normal" might be brick walls or something which blocks wifi extremely well. Tough to know off normal

Re: instable network satellites ORBI RBR 353

Thanks
Am using my internet provider’s modem
In France it is orange with « la fibre » which is very stable and powerful internet.
I understand your remark about house, walls.., I already experience this issues. That is the reason why I bought netgear orbi, which says they are the best even for big houses. I have 4 satellites for 200m2, which is quite good.
Again I don’t understand why, the mesh network is unstable since I succeeded to find the best position for them (with all four satellites green on the app)
Anyway one day it’s good and the other 2 satellites are orange showing worse connection, without having changed anything.
The satellites are probably disconnecting and searching the mesh network, which disconnects my devices.
How make the mesh network at home the same everyday?

What modem is it? Tends to be modem/router combo devices.

You still haven't defined what these "normal" walls are in the home.

And if you have a 2000sqft home (200m2), 4x satellites might actually be to many.

You can have to much coverage and cause issues with connection back to the main hub
