Easy Mesh protocol
I read about the new "Wifi Alliance" protocol called "Easy Mesh" and read the new Orbi Wifi 6 and NightHawk Wifi 6 are compatible.
Will the Orbi Wifi 5 compatible with this technology? As I know Wifi Alliance develop for Wifi 4, 5 and 6.
Will be great to add new feauters to our network without renew all the devices.

When I search for Netgear and EasyMesh, the only product that comes up claiming compatibility is the Nighthawk MK62 (lower end) Dual Band product. Orbi WiFi6 router product data sheets and most of the Nighthawk AX product data sheets make no mention of EasyMesh. The Orbi WiFi5 models that were designed in 2016 are not being updated to the latest security standards. Chances of them being reprogrammed to take business away from Netgear seems slim to none.
I agree entirely that it would be wonderful if Netgear reprogrammed our aging Orbi to support EashMesh so that we could buy products from anyone. Frankly, I do not see that happening.
