Hi All,
I have checked this with the team. Orbi has not been updated to use Readyshare features as of right now it only officially supports Readyshare print for printers via the USB.

Re: How can I connect an external hard drive to Orbi Router RBR 50 via USB?
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
ReadyShare feature for Orbi only officially suppprts ReadyShare print for printers via the USB. However, there are few users who mentioned that their USB HDD were detected by the router. Please allow me to check this first and I will get back to you.

The answer was for @debrasunshine. The only time wasted was when you posted your message.

Is there any anticipated time frame of when this capability will be available?

Re: How can I connect an external hard drive to Orbi Router RBR 50 via USB?
NG does post when changes will be made, if any. Its possible that USB drive support may not be seen on Orbi as well. Something only NG knows what will happen.
I recommend you find alternate USB drive support solutions. There are USB to LAN adapters that can be used to put a USB drive on a network. Something to look into.
