Old Man Trying To Re-Connect My Orbi After Changing From AT&T To Xfinity
My Orbi and it's two satellites have not worked since I changed from AT&T to Xfinity. I've followed all of the suggestions on re-connecting that I have found. I get as far as the reconnection screen...then it says it can't find the network. Nothing else has changed. If anyone is willing to help, I can be reached by telephone, email, or FaceBook. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Paul Cote

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Built in router at the modem by chance>? if so, This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

this type of response is why some people walk away more confused. You ask what type of modem the person has and without waiting on a response you start talking about a double NAT. Crazy. Not to mention you assume everyone knows what a double NAT is.
here put these shoes on and take a walk

We Old Men have to stick together. Did you install the Orbi, or did someone do it for you?
How do you manage the Orbi system? (using a web browser, or one of the Orbi "apps"?)
Had you done a lot of work to "customize" the Orbi network? (such as assigning network addresses to specific devices)
Did the Xfinity tech verify that the new connection was working before he rode into the sunset? (and never even offered to hook up your Orbi)
