Orbi RBKE960 constantly hitting custom NTP server

I have elected to use a preferred NTP server in my router settings rather than the Netgear default option. I am using this exact text "pool.ntp.org". I have a Raspberry Pi on my network that is telling me that 192.168.1.1 (my router IP) is rate limited. It is hitting the time server over 1000 times in 60 seconds. This wasn't an issue on my R7000 router and has only cropped up since switching to the RBKE960. Is this a known issue that will be addressed in a future firmware update? Please let me know if you need more information.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: Orbi RBKE960 constantly hitting custom NTP server
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
And this happens with any custom time server?
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

Re: Orbi RBKE960 constantly hitting custom NTP server
Thank you for your reply. Gave me some ideas to look into. Turns out it was my smart switch that was constantly hitting the time server. Interesting on how it said it was the IP of the router instead of the IP of the switch. Regardless, the issue is resolved. I turned off SNTP time sync on the switch.
