RBK53 Intereferes with ioGearHDMI Transmitter
We recently replaced our home network that was using a Nighthawk router with the Orbi rbk53.
The 5G radio on the Orbi intereferes with our HDMI transmitter, an IOGEAR GW3DHDKIT, to the point is cannot operate.
Had this problem with the previous router and simply turned off the 5G radio to remedy.
Any ideas or suggestions on disableing the 5G radio permanently in the Orbi?
This orbi is rendering a $250 piece of equipment useless, and preventing HDMI transmission to other rooms.

Re: RBK53 Intereferes with ioGearHDMI Transmitter
How close is the Orbi system to this device? It should be as far apart as possible.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.
Can you change channels on this device to something else? You can change channels on the Orbi however there are only 4 channels you can change.
You can not disable any radios on the Orbi system.
You can turn down the 5Ghz radio power out put and test. Try setting from 100% to 75 or 50%.

Re: RBK53 Intereferes with ioGearHDMI Transmitter
You cannot turn off the 5 GHz on Orbi. WiFi needs 5 GHZ for proper operation with modern devices The best solution would be to buy an HDMI transmitter that uses a frequency that does not overlap with WiFi. There are several that operate at 60 GHz. See the thread linked above for some options.
