RBR20
My Orbi router will not connect to the internet. I’ve rebooted both the router and the modem with no luck. I reset the router but still no internet. It takes me through the process of reinstalling from scratch but after it connects via the app, the app tells me that my Ethernet cable is bad. I’ve replaced the cable but it will not go past that point. I have one satellite that I use with the router. Thanks in advance for any help or directions.

Re: RBR20
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Can you power off the modem and connect a wired PC to the modem then power ON and see if you get internet with the PC directly connected to the modem with out the RBR being connected?
Please edit out any product serial numbers, WAN and MAC addresses from pictures prior to posting in public forums for security reasons. Thank you.

Re: RBR20
Ok, should be same process for RBR in the mix. I would do same and then factory reset the RBR and use a wired PC connected to the RBR with a web browser pointed at 192.168.1.1 and walk thru the setup this way.

Re: RBR20
I would take the RBR to a friend, neighbor or family members place and see if the RBR will connect at a different location with a different modem. Even you can connect it up to different host router and see if you can get the RBR to connect. If the problem follows then I would presume the RBR is faulty and needs replacing. If not, then there is a problem with the cable between the modem or the modem.
