RBR50 1st Gen firmware update bricked router
I tried to update my Orbi while logged into it from my PC like I had done before. It never restarted. My green power light is on all the time. If I turn the power off, then back on, the light just comes on solid green right away. Pressing in the tiny reset button, the light never changes from green. Never blinks, never turns to amber. I tried to upload the firmware using TFTP client instructions found here.... https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-client . It is not working for me, I am guessing it is becuase my light never turns from green.

Re: RBR50 1st Gen firmware update bricked router
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide:
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
Tftp can be sensitive to timings. Sometimes it takes a couple times to get it working right.
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
