RBR50 firmware
I recently purchased RBR50 Orbi AC3000 with one Satellite. I did a manual firmware upgrade on the router from v2.5.2.4 to v2.6.1.40. The upgrade was successful.
But when I try to do the same firmware upgrade on the Orbi Satellite it keeps saying wrong file therefore right now the Orbi router and the Satellite are on different version.
Any idea or suggestion how else I can upgrade the Satellite's firmware to v2.6.1.40
Thanks in advance.

Re: RBR50 firmware
Nevermind. Lol. Instead of runing the upgrade from the Orbi router, I logged into the Satellite directly using its own IP and run the firmware upgrade from there and that wroked!!

Re: RBR50 firmware
Be sure you downloaded the RBS version file for the RBS.
You need to update RBS first always before the RBR.
Try FireFox or Opera browser and if you can access the RBS web page, directly update the RBS there.
if not, try this:
What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite. The RBS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites to the RBR.
