RBS 760 losing connection with blackhaul or wifi when confiured as AP

Hi

I have a dual Orbi 760 pack with a router a and satelitte.

When i configure Orbi as an Acess Point to prevent double nat between my main routers and ethernet connected devices with the wifi managed bu the orbi,

I have regular deconnection of my satelitte. It is pink in the application / offline.

Same in the webpage for admin.

Satelitte connected to router with ethernet (blackhaul), same behaviour with wifi connection between them.

As soon as i configure Orbi as a router and not acess point, thus deconnection stop to happen....

I had a RBR / RBS 20 during years with same configuration with no issue.

I do not understand what happened.

RBR 760 : 6.3.8.5_1.4.80

RBS 760 : 6.3.8.5

What could be this ?

Can someone help ?

Thanks

There has been no change in the wiring connecting router and satellite?  i.e. the cable path from the router LAN port to one of the satellite LAN ports?  No switches added to the configuration?

Hello

No changes at all between the two configurations.

Switch exits and are connected directly on my ISP router in both situations

What is the Mfr and model # of the host router or ISP router?

Brand and model# of this switch?

Is RBR connected to the host router using it's yellow WAN port while in AP mode?

How are RBS connected to the RBR in AP mode? Wireless or wired?

Hello

ISP router is French Orange Livebox 5

Livebox 5 Orange, plus de confort pour toute la famille

Switch is a TP-link LS108G

RBR Cannot be connected to RBS using ts yellow port as the only yello port on my RBS is to receive internet from ISP router. AP or router mode are the same it needs my ISP router on yellow port named "internet".

I have tested both wired and wireless between RBS and RBR and same thing happen.

RBS in router mode : connection is stable

RBS in AP mode : connection is lost after 12/24 h

Re: RBS 760 losing connection with blackhaul or wifi when confiured as AP

How are RBS connected to the RBR in AP mode? Directly connected to the back of the RBR?
Where is the switch connected? To the RBR or to the host router?

Is the RBR directly connected to the host router? Or is it connected to this one switch?

RBS is connected to RBR with Ethernet cable.
Directly to the back of the RBR
Switch is connected to the host router
RBR directly connected to host router

How is the RBR configured for AP mode? Dynamic or static IP configuration?

Distance between the RBR and RBS?

RBR is in dynamic ip configuration
7-8 meters between the two

Re: RBS 760 losing connection with blackhaul or wifi when confiured as AP

Might move the RBS farther away. 30 feet is recommended starting distance. Depending upon building materials.

Or try reducing the power on the RBR from 100% to 25% and see how the RBS does. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Re: RBS 760 losing connection with blackhaul or wifi when confiured as AP

As they are connected with Ethernet I do not see the point to move farest. And they are in two different level of the house.

Same for signal, with Ethernet no interest to change it…
