Satellite Wifi Name on Orbi RBK12
Purchased an Orbi RBK12 Router and one satellite kit. Router setup fine but synch to satellite was painfully difficult even when I moved the satellite in the same room. Finnaly after an hour of synching and synching I finally got the Sattelite to show in the Orbi Dashboard Interface and got a Blue light on the Sattelite.
Now I have moved the Sattelite in another room.
My question is- do I connect some of the farther devices to the Sattelite or to the Primary Orbi...I do not see a wifi network that says Orbi Satellite? Does that mean it's still not properly configured-what name would the Sattelite show up as when searching for wifi?
thanks

Did you consider trying this radical concept (which works for some
people):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. When I tried
that, I found:
2. On your WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device, find and select
the WiFi network. The WiFi network name is on the router label.
The WiFi network name is the same for the router and the
satellite in the Orbi WiFi System.
I pay very little attention to Netgear mesh products, so I know
nothing, but my dim impression was that the whole point of a mesh system
was to have one wireless SSID for all units, and the system would settle
the argument about which client connected to which access point. What
was your understanding of what you were buying?

Re: Satellite Wifi Name on Orbi RBK12
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
