Solid green ring on satellite

What does a solid green top ring signify on the satellite? Googled it but only found info on the green power led.

Green is not a color for the ring on top is the unit having a issue>

Yes, I have been having problems since the latest software update. Two days ago the satellite wouldn't connect at all and had a solid green ring after each time I turned the power on and off. The next morning it worked again, but I exhanged it at the store for a new one. Hopefully this one will have fewer issues
