Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
Is the FW up to date on the outdoor satellite?
What is the distance between the outdoor satellite and base router?
Have you tried connecting the outdoor satellite in the same room as the base router and set it up there, then once connected, power off the satellite and move it to the out door location.

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
outdoor satellite firmware unknown.. cant get far enough (per instructions) to ever see it.
I've only tried setting it up in the same room as the base router...
flashes white for awhile then just purple (without me ever "SYNCing").. never goes white in order for me to sync.

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
This is NOT possible. The outdoor satellite has NO RJ45 ports.

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
I'm about to open packaging on a new Outdoor Satellite from Amazon, and I have the Orbi with 2 Satellites currently installed. So exactly in the same boat as the OP. Is there something I should know about problems with putting in an Outdoor Satellite as third satellite before I start?
I can still return to Amazon if this is not a good configuration. Didn't think about the fact the outdoor version won't have a RJ45 jack to get to it directly... that could be a problem.

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
Hello @naseerkhan,
You should not have any issues syncing your Outdoor Satellite to your existing Orbi system. Please refer to the link below to manually sync your Outdoor Satellite:

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
Got it working... had to call support but through a series of reboots and manual SYNC's it's working!

Re: adding 3rd satellite(outdoor)
Hi Christian,
Thanks for the link. I'll give it a try soon. I'd held off till I heard further and didn't have chance to see further forum posts till just now. Glad to see the OP got it working too...
