Router mode for RBR850 and AP for RBR50

I bought RBK850, and I would like to expand my current network.
I’ll have RBR850 runs in Router mode, then will connect RBR50 in AP mode.
I have 5 Sats currently connected to RBR50 ethernet backhaul and 2 sats connected as wireless backhaul with the latest firmware 2.5.1.32.
I noticed that RBR50 CPU runs between 80% to 90% with 25 connected device and armor enabled, devices are cell phones, and smart tvs.
I have noticed that internal speed test stops running if the RBR50 runs for a week, and acts weird and slow, so I have to reboot it weekly.
So my plan is to have RBR850 takes care of armor security and routing since it has bigger cpu.. etc, and RBR50 to run in AP mode.
Do you have any suggestion?

Re: Router mode for RBR850 and AP for RBR50

Can you run just the 8 series system with out the 5 series being online? Yes you could use the 5 series in AP mode.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

Having too much wifi in the home can be problmatic.

I have a 5000sq ft home and run just the 8 series with 2 RBS and works well for my needs. I don't use Armor though.

Something to post about in the Orbi AC forum for help and information regarding that model:

Re: Router mode for RBR850 and AP for RBR50

I have large house, 12916 Sq Ft, 4 levels.
So even RBK853 can’t cover it, concrete and steel building material.
So I still need RBR50 system for the coverage beside RBK852 I just bought.

Ok, ya that kind of SQ FT, you'll probably need the 50 series as well.
