Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
(First, I did search...)
Think this is a good place to post known compatible satellites with the (new) Orbi 770 Home Mesh system (RBE770/771).
SO far, I have been able to confirm:
RBS750
Please add as you confirm.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
Thank you for that chart link.
It is still not updated (as far as I could read) with the RBE770/771.
Hope it will build soon.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
Just because the RBS750 series works, may not mean that NG will support it. NG has been known to close those doors later on in FW updates.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
Can you post a picture of the RBRBE web page with the RBS750 showing as connected please?

What was given from NG support?

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
NG Support stated they need the specific model of router and then they could tell me if it was compatible with the 770.
RBS50 was a no (although I read somewhere- maybe even from you in another thread- that it may act as an AP w/o mesh capability)
RBS750 was stated to work with full functionality.
Not sure why they couldn't just give the link to a URL where they are getting this information from.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
I was told that NG doesn't officially support AX or AXE RBS with BE series systems and vs versa. Sorry.
What the link has is what is supported officially. Adding of the 770 series is in the work to that link.

Are the RBS750/850 considered AX/AXE?

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
It will be a cold day in (you know where) when an RBS750 is 'compatible' with either of the two Orbi WiFi7 systems.
The RBS750 is a WiFi6 product. It has no 6GHz WiFi capability of any kind. None. Zero.
The Orbi 770 product is a cheaper alternative to the Orbi 970. It has only 2x2 MIMO on three bands, for a total of 6 antennas. The 970 has 4x4MIMO on four bands (one 2.4G, two 5G, and one 6G) for a total of 16 antennas.
The 770 costs less than half the 970.
It's just not possible for a 750 satellite to connect to a 971 or 771 router. Supposing one could connect them with Ethernet, the 750 will not support WiFi6E or WiFi7 client connections.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
Interesting (and kinda makes sense.)
But, as mentioned, I was told by support that the RBS750 would work. Again, I'm not arguing with your logic, just (re-)stating what they told me. I did NOT mention to them that I would hardwire the satellite, although that is my plan.

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
(I also understand that the WiFi generation (770- 7, 750- 6) are limited to their original standard.)

Re: Orbi 770 Compatible Satellites
350,750, 840, 850 and 860 series are all AX.
950/960 series is AXE.

If you do purchase one of these, be sure there is a generous return policy.
