RBE770 orbi satellite
i was hoping to improve my home network speed and coverage.
The Netgear nighthawk cm3000 and the orbi 770 mesh BE main router are working. However when i went to replace my Netgear N600 router, which is connected hardwired, not wifi - house too big and we have ethernet (via splitter) in most every room. my internet speeds dropped significantly. The N600 is 4 times faster than this new orbi mesh satellite.
??need advice/information.
My devices are:
##N600 Wireless Dual Band Route
##Orbi 770 Series Tri-Band WiFi 7 Mesh System, 11Gbps, 2-Pack (RBE772

Re: RBE770 orbi satellite
What speeds are you seeing?
What speeds should you be seeing?
IF the Orbi system is working then would have zero need for the old router. That is many years old and out dated and no longer supported and would be a security risk.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Protection Engine, Traffic Meter.

Re: RBE770 orbi satellite
Yesterday
I did a speed test with my Macbook Air, using wifi from the Netgear N600
110mbps Up, 20 Down
I removed the N600 and using the same cables, installed the brand new RBE 770 satellite. The speeds were half that.
Now just did the test again this morning.
And everything is excellent.
460 up, 21 Down.
Nothing changed? but I'll take the results
Any suggestions on how to improve the download speed.
I disable killer analytics on my PC and the speed tripled.
Thanks for replying

Re: RBE770 orbi satellite
Is the brand and model# of the PC and it's brand and model # of the ethernet or wireless adapter installed in the PC?
Happens with a different PC?

Which ISP are you connected too?
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.
