Hi All, I recently purhcased this lovely set and moved from Linksys to Netgear.
I have couple of issues with the RBE971 ( 1 router and two satelites)
1,They are on latest firwmare all but when the router will reboot the Satelites will not reconnect and I have to turn them off every time in this case (linksys had self heal function where satelites automaticaly reconnected back to routeri in case of reboot) this is not the case with Orbi 971/970 and satelites will need to be turned off each time when this happen. Is there any road path of known issues and time frame when these will get fixed please?
Are you aware of this issue with satelites please?
2, The dedicated backhaul is very slow compare to my linksys which was 4-5 years old this backhoul has very slow speed ( the current layout is 1 Qnap Nas connected to router via 10Gbps port - the card in qnap is 2.5Gbps data transfer to other Qnaps 3 in total which are connected via Satelite 10Gbps port which is going to Qnap switch (QNAP QSW-M408-2C 8-Port Managed Desktop Gigabit Switch w/ 2 x 10G RJ45/SFP+ Combo Ports & 2 x 10G SFP+ Ports)
and the 2 qnap nases are connected via 2.5Gbps slots and third one is connected via 10Gbps which contains 10Gbps card.) Now the when the satelites are connected via dedicated dedicated backhaul why the speed is only arround form 20 max up to 60Mbps? Everything is setup correctly I just cannot get my head arround why the speed is soo slow.
3, The App is extremely slow very slow compare to competitions.
I purchased also additional satelite and the satelite will not even stay connected with the rest of the system (wired via etherent cable) I have tried everything with your service technician and it will go for RMA replacement.
Now for £3000 I was expecting much smoother system and that everything will be brushed and fixed before release but this does not look like that the product is ready for user ( most functions works ok but still a lot to improve)
I have currently 89 active devices.
Ok could please let me know if you are aware of the 1 issue and if you have any road path of known issues (and what they are) and what is the ETA to fix them? This will avoid me raising all the issues which I will find going forward.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Can you draw us up a diagram of the RBR and RBS lay out and connection configuration and how they are connected and where the switches are in the configuration?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite 🛰
FYI, recommended switches to use with Orbi if you have the RBS ethernet connected to the RBR are non managed switches. NETGEAR XS505M and GS110MX work great with the 9 series. MS105 series(2.5Gb Non managed)
Is IGMP and any Green Ethernet features enabled on those manages switches?
What CAT# LAN cable is being used between the RBR and RBS and Switches? CAT6A STP is recommended.
Were the RBS wirelessly synced to the RBR first before ethernet connecting them?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
