Mesh or all hook up to base unit
I need to know if new add on devices hook up to the back channel in a mesh fashion (hooking up to the nearest unit) or do they all hook up to the main unit? I want to add the new wall units, but only if it hooks up to the satellite units to actually extend the distance from the base unit I can go, rather than the new units having to hook up to the base unit which is still in the basement by the cable drop (and, no, I can't move that one). Thanks!!

Re: Mesh or all hook up to base unit
It is not a true mesh. New Orbi satellite always go back to the Orbi router

Re: Mesh or all hook up to base unit
its not mesh topology at all , its star topology and so all sats must connect to the orbi router at this stage , no word if this will change in the future
the orbi system will also not connect to each other via ethernet only via its 5 gig backhaul
