Orbi RBK23 router going offline
I have the system set up in router mode, and I bridged my ISPs modem/router so the orbi SSID is the only one available.
It's extremely annoying if the router is randomly going to offline several times per day, please help!

Re: Orbi RBK23 router going offline
Need more information?
Who is your ISP?
What ISP device is your Orbi router connected to?
Did you reboot your ISP modem/router, before starting the Orbi router install?
Have you changed the network cable connected from the ISP device to your Orbi router?

Re: Orbi RBK23 router going offline
Very nice router. You said you disabled the router's DHCP and WIFI settings?
I assume you connected the Orbi to the ISP modem/routers LAN port?
Anything between the ISP router and the Orbi, other than the network cable?
Do you lose internet when you see the router offline?

Re: Orbi RBK23 router going offline
Very nice router. You said you disabled the router's DHCP and WIFI settings? Yes I did, was this a mistake? I seemed to be getting faster speeds on wifi using the orbi router.
I assume you connected the Orbi to the ISP modem/routers LAN port? Yes I did.
Anything between the ISP router and the Orbi, other than the network cable? Nothing.
Do you lose internet when you see the router offline? Yes. On my phone an exclamation mark (!) Comes up beside the wifi signal and it no longer works. It shows up as offline on the orbi app, while the satilites show up as online

Re: Orbi RBK23 router going offline
No mistake, you have 2 options, the way you are setup using the Orbi router in router mode, or set the ISP router up as the router, disable the WIFI (or not), and set the Orbi router in AP mode.
I think the issue is between the ISP router and the Orbi router. I would check all setting on the ISP router and try a reset and reinstall on the Orbi router.

What kind of settings should I be checking for on the ISP router?
Did you follow these directions?:
Bridging your modem allows you to use a third-party router and disables the modem’s Wi-Fi capability.
Follow these steps to bright the Hitron CODA 4582 modem.
- Open a web browser and visit 192.168.0.1.
- Sign in using the following credentials:
- Username: Cusadmin
- Password: password (or your easy connect Wi-Fi password)
- Select Basic.
- Select the Gateway Function tab.
- Select Residential Gateway Function.
- Select Disable.
- To finish, select OK when prompted.
If so, to start from the beginning, I would factory reset your Orbi router. Connect the Orbi router to the Hitron CODA 4582 modem, turn it on, using the Orbi app re-configure your Orbi router starting from scratch.
