Use In Access Point mode
Hi!
I am planning to do an overhaul on my home network. I want to get a powerful gaming router (Maybe the Night Hawk) to be the router for the house, but I want to have wifi disabled on it and use an Orbi system in access point mode to handle all wireless traffic. I am thinking of getting the Orbi from Amazon where it has one base router and two satelites. I know the system supports wired ethernet backhaul (which I want to use), so my question is do the satelites need to plug into the base Orbi router to work with wired back haul or can they be plugged into my main switch coming out of my gaming router, or would it work either way. Also, I am open to listening to anyone's opinions of my plan!
Thanks guys!
